I would not recommend for anyone to book travel through Alaska anytime soon. During the beginning of the pandemic I booked tickets for the holiday season, that should have been cancelable without fees - however the travel credits are only good for so long and with the uncertainty of when I’ll be able to use them, I’ve asked for a refund. Even though I’ve spent tens of thousands on travel with Virgin Air and Alaska over the last 12 years, they are not willing to budge on their refund policy. I will never book travel with Alaska again.

My flight was changed and no one notified me. Alaska Airlines said it was MyTrips responsibility to notify me and MyTrip said it was Alaska Airlines responsibility to notify me. I called to verified because I never received online boarding passes. I also requested a refund for one of my tickets through Alaska Airlines. They sent a refund to MyTrip and an email to verify the the refund to me. But 22 days later I still haven't received it. I was told by Alaska to call MyTrip to check on it and MyTrip made me send a screenshot of the email as proof. I am now waiting to see if I receive it.
I am very frustrated with the lack of communication between the 2 companies and myself. I requested Alaska Airlines to send me confirmation of my flight information twice and I never received it. I have made around 6-10 phone calls between the 2 companies and I have spent around 2 hour total on the phone with them. When I called Alaska Airlines to file a complaint I received excuses rather than taking ownership in their mistakes and shortfalls and trying to improve their services.

Travel credit on Alaska? Looks like not!

Alaska Airlines issued me a travel credit when flights shut down after Covid hit in March 2020. When I called in March 2021 to ask about redeeming the credit, I was told I needed to call to book a flight directly with Alaska Airlines to use the credit. I called on June 6, 2020, to book a flight and received a message indicating any tickets booked on the phone would cost $15 extra compared to booking online and the wait time to speak with an agent would be between 3 hours, 47 minutes, and 5 hours, 41 minutes! I’ll try one more time on a weekday morning, and then give up my travel credit and book a flight with another airline. At that point, I would not do business with Alaska again!

I will fly Alaska airlines again

I will fly Alaska airlines again. Yesterday, June 4th my husband and I were directed to the incorrect gate which caused us to just barely miss our flight. When we got to the correct gate we were met with nothing but a negative attitude from the attendant. When I tried to go see about a different flight, the desk clerk refused to help me because I called the attendant at the desk a b**ch as I walked away. I assure you this women has earned the insult with how she had treated us. She offered no assistance or information in how to help me get on the next flight, or apologize for the mistake they made. But she made sure to call ahead to the ticket counter to tattle on me for my minor out burst of frustration with her so that they also wouldn’t help me. Also my tickets would be refunded on the stimulus card that I no longer had and was not replaceable. So when I called to explain this and asked if the refund could be put on a different card, they refused to work with me, and said credit towards a different flight was all that they could offer. 300 credits for 2 round trip tickets to New Mexico for a mistake they made and awful customer service. Beware!!! Never flight Alaska Airlines.

Stranded a disabled person

Here we go Alaska Airlines the flight was delayed an hour rerouted to Lax 5 hours later they lied said arrangements where made and when I get here they left me because the shuttle back to Santa Ana airport wasn’t ADA accessible!!! ????And left me and my daughter at 2 in the morning. What the hell is wrong with you people???
Shame on Alaska AirlinesAlaska airlines I can’t stop crying I can’t stop how disregarded I am as a person as a human being because I’m in a wheelchair and my daughter got to experience that irritated and frustrated I’m in pain at still traveling between LA and Orange County just a wreckYour Ada wheelchair accessible policies need to be evaluated and update and accessible every hour that you are in operation period!!! no one should ever have to experienceAnd no one should ever be dehumanized in front of their children this is traumatic what I experience. the airlines to drop me off after I paid for my ticket safety security and assurance that I would receive aafe passage like everyone else and you failed this experience with Alaska airlines shame on you. Literally singling out the disabled person and her child and leaving them behind I’m back to business as usual as if I wasn’t standing there crying on the curb if you left me

Horrible greed occurring within the ranks. I bought air miles during the pandemic so I’d be ready to go when it’s over. Trying to book a flight to New York in September and guess what, no flights are available to use my miles. Don’t waste your time and money with this company. The award miles is a total scam!

Due to Pandemic related sickness

Due to Pandemic related sickness, I had to reschedule my flight 5 days from the original booking. I was ready to pay the additional ticket charges.
But the greedy insensitive Alaskan folks refuse to give me any credit towards my new flight booking.
I had to pay 4 times the average cost.
Disappointing!!
Delta, United, Southwest all have been so considerate. But this greedy airlines has enraged me

Alaska credit card baggage fee waiver…

Alaska credit card baggage fee waiver system is confusing for a secondary card holder. I have to skip checking in bag at the kiosk, I was told, then go to the counter to check in the bag. However, airline reps were ensuring I had my bag tagged before getting into the counter line. The customer service rep sounded irritated while I tried to understand the process of getting free bags as the card advertises. Had she spent more time listening and understanding the situation would have been handled more efficiently and pleasantly

phone customer service NONEXISTENT

Worst airline phone customer service. 47 mins on the phone waiting to speak with someone and they just don't answer. Don't even bother calling them since they don't answer their customer service phone line. I had to drive directly to the airport and speak with someone at the counter, and yet; they couldn't make changes on my flight.

There is absolutely no way Alaska…

There is absolutely no way Alaska shouldn't improve their food service at this point. I fly from Seattle to Tampa every couple of weeks is 5 1/2 -6 hours and there is no food service in "PREMIUM" Coach (you can buy it if you want) but alls it is nothing more than some cheese and fruit and the price is basically the same as it is in first class. You can get no cocktails but you can buy beer and wine in cans. Ah - hello they serve hard liquor in small bottles and you can buy mixers in a can! It is clear they are just cutting cost and this is likely the new way to fly on Alaska!! Checking out on Alaska and I am over a million miles!

Flying is not just Flying

As an Alaskan becoming a million mile flyer is expected eventually. I have reached that milestone with Alaska Airlines. I have to say thank you to the dedicated staff on and off the airplane. It's hard to fly alot, and demanding on a large frame body. Alaska airlines always knows that. Let this be my record of how much I can appreciate being appreciated by Alaska Airline ! I will forever be a loyal customer

Strict mask enforcement made this trip a nightmare

I'm going to try very hard to not fly Alaska Air again. They were aggressive about mask enforcement, and gave my son a yellow card because his mask was below his nose. Meanwhile my husband walks back to the galley in the back, where the crew hangs out, and one of the flight attendants audibly warns another to put her mask on, that passengers are coming.

Main cabin service for premium first class price.

Paid $1000 more than main cabin, and the main cabin got service started before 1st class. 3-1/2 hour flight and I got a small room temp can of coke with no ice. Flight attendant never asked again for anything else.
People in the main cabin kept going up to the front of the plane to use the first class restroom and nothing was every said. I paid extra to be more safe from covid and not having half the plane walking by to use the restroom. The plane with filthy. Across the isle, the side of the seat was covered with spilled coffee. The seats was dusty and had someones dirty shoe prints on the back. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned of vacuumed in years. The snack tray was broken and wouldn't stay flat. Basically I just paid $1000 extra dollars to sit one row in front of main cabin. I have flown first class on other airlines, and this is far the worst. Don't waste your money on first class, if you decide to fly Alaska. I will drive next time.
I just wasted $1000 extra dollars for nothing because I got last class service, not first class. Alaska sure has gone down hill.
